** TO Be Euthanized 4/20/2021 in NYC **
FOSTER or ADOPTER needed BY NOON that day to SAVE beautiful ONYX's life! PLEASE, SHARE!

He is a shy, unassuming guy who just wanted a quiet, loving home with a predictable and familiar routine he could count on. But no, it was not to be. The landlord insisted on a “no pets” policy and given that ONYX is more comfortable with his immediate family and less so with meeting new people, it was off to the shelter with him. You would not mind, but Onyx never asked for much. He was not demanding, happy to lay on the sofa and sleep. He was not obnoxious, happy for a slow walk with his family or tossing a few of his favorite toys around (balls!). He never tried to horn in on the family bed at night, preferring his own dog bed. He would entertain with the few tricks he had learned (he loves to give paw, but even better, he loves to give BOTH paws), and he played happily (if a bit roughly) with other dogs he would meet. Now this middle-aged boy needs a new home, an experienced home, a place to decompress and then slowly acclimate to his new surroundings and family. If you can give this big, gorgeous ebony boy a soft place to rest his head, either through fostering or adopting him,

FOSTER or ADOPTER needed BY NOON that day to SAVE puppy REESES's life! PLEASE, SHARE!

A $500 stipend will be offered to the New Hope partner that pulls Reese’s 113575.

He is a puppy who wants to be your one and only doggy child. REESES is barely a year old, a super sweet, affectionate, wiggly lovebug who embodies everything we think of when we think “puppy.” Active, playful, with eyes full of trust for humans, he still has not been battered down yet by life. He looks at the world with wonder, he wants to make friends with everyone, and every day brings joy. But his parents were clearly inexperienced with managing a multi-dog home, and either did not care or did not know how to train their dogs in the commands “down” or “place” or even “look at me” so they could de-escalate scuffles that will inevitably take place. Now Reeses is at the shelter, wagging his tail, a little confused about where his family is, and looking to the volunteers and staff for comfort. He is a dear little thing, and all he needs is an experienced foster or adopter who are dog-savvy and can continue his training, so he learns all those big dog skills. So, watch his video (his face is just precious) and then rush to foster or adopt him now. You can MESSAGE OUR PAGE or

Let’s go!
💪
Location: 385 N. Arrowhead Ave., San Bernardino, CA, Covington Chambers.

Background on Sheba's situation

https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=10217990835743511&set=gm.632550011019572

Sheba is a beloved 11-year-old German Shepherd who is currently imprisoned at the Devore animal shelter. For over a year Sheba has been kept in a small, 5x5 dark concrete cell where she has no bed or blanket to shield her from the cold hard floor, no toys to stimulate her, and no interaction to help her cope with the isolation. Sheba has never been out of the cell and is deprived of any exercise. Her 81-year-old owner, Jose “Pepe” Sanchez travels 40 miles three days a week to see Sheba, is allowed only 5 minutes for each visit and is denied physical contact with Sheba. The severity of these restrictions is causing unnecessary mental anguish resulting in physical harm to Mr. Sanchez and Sheba.
Sheba was erroneously labeled a “vicious” dog by San Bernardino County (SBC) because of a single incident with another dog, who is fine and doing well. The owners of the other dog agree that Sheba should not be killed and have written a letter to the County asking them to refrain from killing Sheba.
Several months after that single incident, Sheba wandered from Mr. Sanchez’s property. Sheba was not involved in any trouble while away, nonetheless, authorities confiscated Sheba and ordered that she be killed. Sheba’s behavior was not “vicious,” does not warrant a death sentence, and does not justify being kept in a small cell under such terrible conditions.
Justice dictates that Sheba be returned to the only family she has known and the man who has raised her and loved her since she was an eight - week old puppy. Since Sheba’s removal, Mr. Sanchez has erected a fenced-in an enclosure on his property to secure Sheba and prevent her from leaving. Additional reasonable restrictions can be imposed as conditions for Sheba’s return.
There are several qualified dog rescue groups who are available and prepared to take Sheba and provide her with the rehabilitation and training she will need following the months of confinement and abuse she has been subjected to at Devore animal shelter. Relocation plans to another county are also in place should personnel at Devore insist that Sheba be sent to another county.
While returning Sheba to Mr. Sanchez is our preferred relief, releasing Sheba to a sanctuary or rescue group is an alternative to save Sheba’s life and eliminate a tremendous cost to taxpayers. Transferring Sheba to a rescue group is in keeping with SBC Animal Control’s own policy which states that it is a goal of SBC Animal Care and Control to reduce the number of companion animals euthanized in animal shelters. As such, SBC Animal Care and Control cooperatively release animals to both partner and non-partner non-profit animal rescue groups in an attempt to achieve this goal.
Sheba deserves the same consideration and benefit as other dogs that have been confiscated (for far worse reasons) and that are allowed to be pulled by a non-profit rescue for rehabilitation and rehoming. SBC Animal Care and Control should release Sheba to a qualified rescue.
Sheba is a senior dog with only a short time to live. She does not pose a threat to public safety. She deserves to spend her final months with her loving owner, Mr. Sanchez, who also deserves to be with his beloved Sheba in his final years. Keeping them apart serves no legitimate purpose.
Please help us bring Sheba home! Thank you.

Adoptable Pets that need homes ASAP

Alert these adoptable Pets could be next to be placed on the at-risk to be killed list!

(See more adoptable below)

With our adoptable homeless pets being euthanized in kill shelters daily across the country, here's a list of the latest dogs and cats that are available for adoption at NYC Animal Care Centers. The good news is: some of the animals from my last list have been adopted... yay!  The sad news is: some have not found homes others were killed in the shelters that were supposed to help them.

A couple is in foster care and is available for adoption. When you see an adoptable pet that catches your eye as always, click on the link below the pets picture and the stats of the pet are there.

Please note:
Instead of the urgent site as the main link, I have replaced it with the NYCACC link. There you can find much more information about the adoptable pets offered.
The list for all three ACC is there: Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. There are adoptable rabbits listed as well. Check it out there's so much information, events hosted by NYCACC, ways to help and much more!

***Like the Summer and Fall programs there's a Winter one called: The Snowfall Sneezes program where fees will be waived adoptable's still have to be reserved through https://newhope.shelterbuddy.com/Animal/List, the reservation fee will be refunded once the adoption is completed.***

With all of that said:  if you are looking to add a new furry family member or foster a pet in order to give them more time to find an acceptable home, please consider one or even two of these precious companion pets. Please remember, that adopting should be a lifetime commitment and not be taken lightly. Please, humane forever homes only!

look through this list of pets and consider adoption rather than buying! You'll be saving a life! God bless you all! The pictures below are just a few of the many that are up for adoption. If you don't see any furries that catch your eye, click on the link below before the start of the dog's and cats list; this will open up to the complete profiles of all adoptable pets and as stated above a lot more information.

Happy adopting or fostering! For those that don't know: to foster an animal is free and all their medical expenses are taken care of.
